Connect Codex to ASO Studio
A few lines in Codex's config file connect it to ASO Studio, from anywhere or only on your Mac. Then ask it to research, plan and ship your listing.
From anywhere
Through asostudio.app, from any device. Needs an ASO Studio subscription, a sign-in with Apple, and your Mac awake. A url rather than a command, which is what puts it on the remote transport.
- 1
Open ~/.codex/config.toml, creating it if it is missing.
- 2
Paste this at the end.
config.toml[mcp_servers.aso-studio] url = "https://asostudio.app/mcp" - 3
Save, then run this and approve the connection in the browser.
Terminalcodex mcp login aso-studio
Run codex mcp list. ASO Studio should be listed and authenticated.
Only on your Mac
Codex launches a small program inside ASO Studio. Nothing leaves this machine, and there is nothing to sign in to. A command rather than a url, which is what keeps it on this machine.
- 1
Open ~/.codex/config.toml, creating it if it is missing.
- 2
Paste this at the end.
config.toml[mcp_servers.aso-studio] command = "/Applications/ASO Studio.app/Contents/MacOS/aso-mcp" startup_timeout_sec = 60 tool_timeout_sec = 300 - 3
Save, then start Codex.
Run codex mcp list. ASO Studio should be listed.
Try asking
- Which keywords should my app go after next, and why?
- Write a new title and subtitle around the keywords I'm closest to ranking for. Show me every change before you ship it.
- Which apps compete with mine, and what do their users keep asking for?
- How did my last release move my rankings?
Anything that changes your App Store listing, deletes, or spends money asks you first, every time. Everything Codex can and cannot do is on Connect your AI.
