The short version
What the choice actually turns on.
Only the rows where these two genuinely differ. Everything they answer the same way is left out, because it cannot decide anything.
- 01
Trying it. App Radar: trial. Applyra: free plan. A permanent free plan and a trial that expires are not the same offer.
- 02
Scripting and AI access. App Radar: none. Applyra: mcp.
- 03
Price. Applyra starts free; App Radar starts at €690 a year on Essentials, up to €299 a month.
- 04
Who each is built for. App Radar sits in the mid-market tier and Applyra in the indie tier, which usually matters more than any single feature.
In its favour
What App Radar does well.
- Review management with AI-assisted replies, which ASO Studio does not do at all.
- Google Play alongside the App Store.
- Team seats and shared workspaces on the higher plans.
- Apple Search Ads and Google Ads management, backed by SplitMetrics which owns them.
In its favour
What Applyra does well.
- A genuinely permanent free plan, not a trial that expires. One app and five keywords is enough to watch a single launch.
- Google Play alongside the App Store, which rules ASO Studio out entirely for an Android developer.
- An MCP server, so this is not a choice between agent access and no agent access.
- Nothing to install and nothing tied to one machine: it runs in a browser on any operating system.
Ours, for the record
There is a third option.
Both cover Google Play, which ASO Studio does not. If your app is iOS only, $59/yr a year covers unlimited apps and keywords on a native Mac app, and you can score your listing free first.
