The short version
What the choice actually turns on.
Only the rows where these two genuinely differ. Everything they answer the same way is left out, because it cannot decide anything.
- 01
Scripting and AI access. Appfigures: api. SplitMetrics Optimize: none.
- 02
Price. Appfigures publishes $9.99 a month on Connect, keyword tools from $149.99; SplitMetrics Optimize publishes nothing and quotes on request.
- 03
Who each is built for. Appfigures sits in the mid-market tier and SplitMetrics Optimize in the enterprise tier, which usually matters more than any single feature.
In its favour
What Appfigures does well.
- Your own numbers: it connects to App Store Connect and Google Play and reports your real downloads, revenue and subscription metrics.
- A genuinely cheap entry point at $9.99 a month if analytics is what you want.
- Long-running market intelligence with a large historical estimate set behind it.
- Both stores in one account, with review management included on every plan.
In its favour
What SplitMetrics Optimize does well.
- Real A/B testing of store listing creative, measured on live traffic. That is a capability, not a feature, and ASO Studio has nothing like it.
- The infrastructure and traffic volume to make an experiment reach significance, which is the hard part of testing.
- Google Play alongside the App Store.
- A team platform with the support and onboarding an enterprise contract carries.
Ours, for the record
There is a third option.
Both cover Google Play, which ASO Studio does not. If your app is iOS only, $59/yr a year covers unlimited apps and keywords on a native Mac app, and you can score your listing free first.
